Know the Standards, Know Your Rights
You will be working as a researcher, teaching assistant, lab coordinator, student advisor, and a number of different capacities on campus. Everyone works hard around here, and It is important that you and your colleagues/students are able to work in a safe environment, protected from harm to your health and well-being. This includes physical and mental health, proper provision of safety protocols and measures, and protection from violence or harassment.

From the Guide to OHSA: "Every employer in Ontario must prepare and review, at least annually, a policy on workplace violence, as required by the OHSA [section 32.0.1 (1) (a) and (c)].
This policy is required regardless of the size of the workplace or the number of workers.
If six or more workers are regularly employed at a workplace, this policy must be in writing and posted in a conspicuous place in the workplace."
